SEVEN

Colten turned 7 this year! Wow, where has the time gone?!
It just so happened that the ONLY snow day he had this school year landed on his birthday!
He knew there was a chance of snow the night before his birthday, so that night he asked God for a snow day on his birthday, and God gave Colten the best birthday present ever!
Not only did he have a snow day, but he had SNOW to play in......
We built a snow man in the back yard, tried to paint the snow with food coloring (didn't work very well...only stained their snow gear!), went sledding with friends, and had a huge snow ball fight with daddy!
We surprised Colten with a Cheetah cake! He was absolutely shocked and in hysteria over it! He almost knocked me over with the embrace when he saw it.
(By the way........he's obsessed with Cheetahs)
Celebrating with brother, sisters, and cousins
Colten used his birthday money to buy a skateboard, spy gear, and new shoes
Colten decided that instead of having a big party with his friends he wanted us to spend the money on doing something special with just him. So Matt and I planned a special night with Colten. He wanted to eat at the Hibachi grill and go laser tagging. He loves 'the show' the cooks put on at the Japanese restaurant and catching the shrimp in his mouth. Above he caught the shrimp. haha They sang happy birthday to him in Japanese, then it was off to laser tagging.
Matt and I learned an important lesson that night....RESERVATIONS
We waited to be seated about an hour at the restaurant and then waited another hour or so to play the next available laser tag game. We didn't get home till 11:30 pm. But it was well worth it! Special time celebrating our oldest son's birth!
